About Us
Born in Atlanta 37 years ago, this city is my backyard. Raised in the Sandy Springs / Buckhead area, my love of Atlanta has only grown over the years. I received my Bachelor's degree in Economics from Georgia State nearly a decade ago (Go Panthers!), and have been involved in the buying and selling of Real Estate ever since. Long before I ever knew how much I would enjoy being a Realtor, my father, a commercial real estate appraiser for over 30 years, exposed me early on to the many different areas that make our city so diverse...and great! In addition, my career in Real Estate has provided me the opportunity to work continuously throughout the entire Metro region. I truly believe there is something here for everyone, and I am proud to call Atlanta my home.
As a sales counselor for a national builder for over 8 years, I became known as someone that could be counted on to convey a positive attitude with a knack for problem solving. After many years of service working for a Fortune-500 company, I finally made the decision to leave the corporate world of on-site sales, and I am now focusing all my energies into working with my own clients. I am always willing to go that extra mile for any buyer or seller, and strive to make the process easy and enjoyable. I produce results, and you have my word I will work hard for you.
In keeping with my efforts to serve you better, I am proud to say that I hold two designations -- SRES and CDPE. As a certified SRES (Seniors Real Estate Specialist), I have the necessary knowledge and expertise to counsel clients age 55 + through major financial and lifestyle transitions involved in relocating, refinancing, or selling the family home. Along with this certification, my personal experience and involvement in the lives of my parents as they have aged has greatly helped me to understand the distinct real estate goals, concerns and needs of seniors today. As holder of the CDPE title (Certified Distressed Property Expert), I am educated in matters such as how to best enter the distressed property market, essentially foreclosed properties and potential "short sales", either as an owner-occupier or investor. I am also a member of the Atlanta Board of Realtors, and subscribe to its strict Code of Ethics. Give me the opportunity to earn your business --- I will strive to make you glad you did.
"Home should be a place to build a household and a life, a respite from the heartless world, not a pot of gold." -- the WSJ
I am extremely passionate about real estate and I have dedicated myself to my career. I truly find great satisfaction in assisting people buy and sell homes. I invest considerably in continuing education and training to ensure that I stay on the forefront of today's ever-changing real estate market. I grew up in the East Cobb area and still reside there today with my wife and three sons. I am very active in the metro Atlanta marketplace which allows me to provide the guidance and knowledge that my clients need when considering buying and selling a home. I am a top producing agent that has the tools and skills to get the job done for YOU!
Prior to becoming a Realtor with RE/MAX Around Atlanta, I spent 10 years selling new construction for one of the nations largest homebuilders. During my career as a new home specialist, I assisted hundreds of individuals and families through the process of selling their existing home and purchasing a new home. I had extensive training in the areas of construction, mortgages, contracts and negotiation. I worked in many different communities around metro Atlanta and developed a true understanding of localized markets and trends.
With foreclosures and short sales becoming commonplace in today's real estate market, it's important that Realtors educate themselves to effectively work with buyers and sellers of distressed properties. I hold the Certified Distressed Property Expert (CDPE) designation. Real estate professionals with the Certified Distressed Property Expert (CDPE) Designation have trained extensively to understand the options, solutions, and effective methods for dealing with homeowners facing hardships. As a CDPE, I also participate in industry related webinars, conference calls and continuing education to stay on top of the latest trends within the distressed marketplace.
I am also a REALTOR® and a member of the National Association of Realtors and The Atlanta Board of Realtors. As a Realtor I subscribe to a specific code of ethics and elevated standards to ensure my clients are represented by someone who always has their best interests in mind. The Atlanta Board of Realtors was founded in 1910 and has been an instrumental factor in the growth of organized real estate in the state of Georgia for over a century. With nearly 6,000 members, Atlanta is the largest Board in the state of Georgia and considered to be one of the strongest, most successful and progressive REALTOR® Boards across the nation.
Children's Miracle Network Hospitals raises funds for 170 children's hospitals across North America, which in turn use the money where it is needed most. When a donation is given it stays in the community, ensuring that every dollar is helping local kids. With every real estate transaction closed, I make a contribution through RE/MAX to the Children's Miracle Network in Atlanta.
Project Open Hand helps people prevent or better manage chronic disease through Comprehensive Nutrition Care, which combines home-delivered meals and nutrition education as a means to reinforce the connection between informed food choices and improved quality of life. I am a proud volunteer at Project Open Hand Atlanta.
Habitat for Humanity is a non profit organization that invites people of all backgrounds, races and religions to build houses together in partnership with families in need. The Atlanta Real Estate Guys are proud volunteers at Habitat for Humanity Atlanta.
